REFLECTIVE JOURNAL3

TEACHING PRACTISE (21-11-21016 to 25-11-2016)

Finished off one chapter, and started the next 'A Day in the Country' by Anton P. Chekov. My first observation was done, and it din't go well as expected. On 25th I had my second observation and I had performed well. Since I have got Malayalam medium class the students are not able to respond in English. Even though they know the answer its difficult for them to answer in English. At least I was satisfied on the fact that the students understand what I teach them.

REFLECTIVE JOURNAL 2

TEACHING PRACTISE: (14-11-2016 to 18-11-2016)

The second week of our teaching practise. Monday was children's Day and nothing much was done , just an announcement wishing all the students was said. Got our seating arrangements changed, and felt much better than the former. Got to know my students more, their way of learning and which way studying makes them more interesting. Canteen got started and that made the rest of my days refreshing. Assemblies are being conducted on Thursdays, and this time it was of my class VIII-C, and it was a variety one. They sand songs on different instruments name and then asked questions based on it, and who all answered would get a pen as gift. As usual classes were taken on the chapter The Nightingale and the Rose, also showed a video on it.

REFLECTIVE JOURNAL 1

TEACHING  PRACTICE   (9-11-2016 to 11-11-2016)

Was assigned to Government Girls H.S.S, Peroorkada for teaching practice. The Head misteress gave an introduction about how things were done in the school. The first day got to know our respective optional teacher and she gave the portions to be taken. I was to take 8th standard and got to know the students more. Second day onwards started teaching, the students grasped the content well. Since they had a smart class I got a chance to use interactive white board while teaching. On the third day we attended the assembly of the school for the first time. There were two main programmes conducted, the Lions Club association conducted an eye testing programme and "Pavizhamalli" an organization headed by the famous writer Sugathakumari, the associates of this organisation delivered speech to the students about the importance of planting trees and also they distributed prizes for the painting competition.
